Thank you for your interest in participating in this uniquely adapted cruise ship game. We hope that you will find the challenges that you encounter to be both stimulating, engaging, and most of all fun! It is highly encouraged that you bond with your fellow team members and pay close attention to the instructions for each challenge as you plan a strategy that will bring you to the finish line first. If you have any questions about the challenges or the rules of the game, please make sure to ask a Game Marshal along the route or a Game Organizer at the Pit Stops.
The planned schedule (subject to change based on weather and/or unexpected issues) is designed to maximize your cruise vacation by providing several days of Amazing Race challenges while still leaving you with ample time to enjoy other Cruise Critic member events and various ship-wide planned activities. Celebrity Cruises has been notified of this schedule and has assured us that our schedule will be accommodated.
Unlike the television version of the Amazing Race, we have designed the structure of this game to allow for a cumulative time accrual system. This means that your team’s challenge completion times will be used throughout the course of the game and will be tabulated on a daily and cumulative manner, allowing the teams to know where they rank each day. You may notice that some challenges will not be scored based on time alone. Scoring guidelines have been manipulated accordingly and information will be available for review during the respective challenge. During the Closing Ceremonies, the teams will receive awards and recognition for their appropriate ranking.
Registration is scheduled to take place on Day 2 of our cruise. We will notify you by separate notice if this plan is altered. We ask that all Players and Marshals plan to meet in the Sky Conference Center, located on Deck 14 FWD at 3:30PM, following our departure from Nassau. At this registration/orientation meeting, we will be reviewing the general rules for the game, explaining the challenge structure, and presenting the teams.
Please be advised that there will be a cost of $10 per player. During our Closing Ceremonies, the first place prize winners will win $50 per team member. The remaining $60 will go to the organizers for printing and supply expenses. All players will receive a souvenir lanyard, certificate, and an experience that will last a lifetime.
During the Amazing Race Eclipse, we expect that team members will participate in all challenges in a safe and respectful manner. Please note that all Game Marshals are volunteer members of the Cruise Critic Forum and have been trained to conduct their respective challenges. In addition, they have been instructed to follow carefully designed challenge criteria and protocols. All decisions made by Game Marshals are final.

Throughout the game, photographs may be taken to document your participation in this event. If you would like to receive copies of any of these photographs, please ask to speak with the Game Organizers who will attempt to arrange and send you digital copies following the cruise. If your photographs are taken by Celebrity Cruises professional photography team, you will need to contact the Photo Gallery in order to purchase any of these photos.
